Originally published as a short story, If You Dare has transformed into an amazing full-length novel. Smooth writing and likeable characters fill the pages. This is another read that would be perfect for the month of October, with its fall setting and decrepit mansion, but, of course, it can be read anytime.
There is just enough spookiness to keep you interested, but it doesn't overshadow the red-hot romance. This is an enemies to lovers story, which I always enjoy.
Marcus is one of those fun, prank-pulling guys who thinks that Lily is a little too uptight, but has had a secret crush on her for a while. He bets her that she can't spend an entire night at the old Willow Mansion alone, knowing that she can't refuse to take him up on it. If he wins, he get to take her to a work-related dinner as his date and she has to be panty-less. If she wins, she gets his hard-earned trip to Hawaii. Neither of them are willing to back down.
I highly recommend this book to any contemporary romance reader!
